Struan is a semi-professional photographer based in Junee, NSW.
He received his first camera (Kodak 110) for Christmas when he was seven years old and always held a keen interest in the hobby. It wasn't until about 2005 when, having to complete a plant collection for a Horticultural Certificate, his interest was rekindled. Traditionally, plant collections were a dried presentation and to complete it photographically required permission form TAFE. He completed the collection with a Canon A510.
After this he used a couple of Fuji 'bridge' camera's before graduating to Olympus 400, 500 and 600.
A Nikon D70 and D90 were followed by a D7000 which took him through until mid 2015 when he moved to full frame with a D600. His weapon of choice currently is the superb Nikon D750.
The D750 is used with a number of older Nikon 35mm film lenses selected for their contrast and sharpness as well as their reliability.
Family and Wedding photography makes up most of his work with Landscape following a close third.
Commercial work is a feature as well including; Junee Shire Council, Community Education Foundation, Riverina Regional Tourism and a number of local businesses.
Community and fundraising is close to Struan's heart, assisting a number of local organisations including:
